RECOM launches RCDE-48 series LED driver module

     RECOM announced the launch of the RCDE-48 Series LED driver module with input voltage up to 60VDC, constant output current of 1050mA, and analog or PWM depth dimming capabilities. RECOM has introduced the RCDE-48 series for LED drivers, which provide a constant current of up to 350mA, 700mA or 1050mA to drive up to 15 high-brightness LED strings with an efficiency of up to 97%.

     The input voltage range is 6-60VDC for 12V, 24V, or 48V nominal power rails, while providing 0-100% linear analog or PWM dimming inputs compatible with 3.3V logic levels, ideal for IoT nodes or µC dimmers. Dimming pins can also be used as remote ON/OFF controls.

     The module can operate at higher ambient temperatures (up to +80°C for the 350mA series) without derating or using forced cooling, so it is also suitable for indoor and outdoor lighting up to 5,000 m above sea level. All modules have overheat protection, UVLO, output open and short circuit protection, and MTBF up to 1.3 million hours.

     These modules are available in a standard DIP-24 package of 32.1 x 20.8 x 12.3mm. Steve Roberts, Innovation Manager at RECOM, said: "The RCDE-48 series LED driver provides a low-cost solution for standard 48V lighting systems, with up to 15 leds and dimming to zero."
