RECOM's new miniature packaged voltage stabilized DC/DC converters, R1M, R2M, R3M and R5M series, are rated at 1W, 2W, 3W and 5W, respectively.
The series comes in the usual package size of 13.2mm (L) x 9.1mm (W) x 10.2mm (H). The R2M series is also available in through-hole DIP8 package. The product's input range is 4:1, which is 9-36VDC or 18-75VDC, while R1M, R2M and R3M also offer 4.5-18V input options. Single-channel regulated output voltages are 3.3V, 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, and 24V, while dual-channel outputs are +/-5V, +/-12V, and +/-15V.
With ON/OFF switch control and short circuit protection, advanced circuit topology and thermal design achieve high efficiency and can operate in ambient temperatures from 100 °C to 105°C (with derating). For example, the R1M series (1W) has a derated temperature of 90°C and still has 30% load capacity at 100°C.
The RxM line of products has an isolation rating of 1.6kV/1min and requires only A simple external filter to meet EN 55032 EMC Class A and Class B specifications. Reliability is extremely high according to MIL-HDBK-217F, GB, 25°C test conditions, such as the 1W R1M series MTBF of 8.5MHrs.
