ROHM's LTR100L series high-power patch resistors achieve high power ratings by changing the resistor material

     ROHM's LTR100L series thick film shunt resistors are optimized for industrial and consumer applications. Shunt resistors are often used to detect current in battery protection and motor drive circuits, requiring higher accuracy to improve reliability and ensure efficient operation.

     In recent years, industrial and consumer fields have begun to pay attention to energy conservation and use motor inverters to reduce power consumption during driving operation. At the same time, with the increase of application power, protection circuits become more and more important in these areas.

     LTR100L series achieves 4 W high rated power in 3264 specification (3.2 mm x 6.4 mm)/1225 specification (0.12 "x 0.25") by changing resistor material and applying terminal temperature derating technology. This is about twice the size of traditional products, making it an ideal choice for motor control and overcurrent protection circuit current detection in industrial and consumer applications, which are developing towards higher power. In addition, the optimization of component structure provides excellent resistance temperature coefficient (TCR) characteristics in thick film shunt resistors. Therefore, they are not easily affected by temperature, and can achieve high-precision and highly reliable current detection.

  
     The LTR100L series achieves excellent TCR characteristics of less than 300 ppm/° C (in 10 m Ω resistance products) in the operating temperature range through optimized component structure. Compared with the standard product, the resistance value change caused by temperature change is reduced by 50% to 65%, thus realizing high-precision current detection to improve application reliability.
