RPX-0.5Q and RPX-1.5Q series DC/DC converters introduced by RECOM

     The newly launched RPX-0.5Q and RPX-1.5Q series products of RECOM meet the requirements of AEC-Q100 Class I certification, which not only opens more applications in the automotive field, but also enhances our confidence in using this series of products in high reliability fields such as industry, medical care and IT infrastructure.the input voltage of RPX-0.5Q and RPX-1.5Q series is 36V, providing 0.5A and 1.5A currents respectively. The adjustable output voltage range is 0.8V to 30V.

     These modules are encapsulated in a leadless, heat enhanced, overmoded QFN package with a size of only 3 x 5 x 1.6mm. They use the RECOM "3D power package" technology and the internal structure of the flip chip (FCOL) on the lead frame. These products contain "wettable side package", which can be used in automatic optical inspection (AOI) equipment required by the automobile industry. This provides low package thermal resistance and economical manufacturing cost, realizing low temperature operation and highly competitive product price. Proper derating of the converter can work at an ambient temperature of 125 ° C, and the efficiency of light load can be kept above 90%, which is helpful to meet the goal of ecological design.

     The product uses an integrated inductor. All functions can be realized by adjusting the input and output capacitors for the application. It has perfect input undervoltage, short circuit, overcurrent and over temperature protection functions. Provide on/off control, synchronous input and good power output. FCOL structure reduces EMI through internal shielding, but if external filtering is required, fixed high-frequency operation will make it easier to achieve.
