Renesas Electronics introduces a new low-power RL78 prototype development board

     Renesas Electronics, Inc., a leading global provider of semiconductor solutions, has introduced a new low-cost and feature-rich RL78/G14 rapid prototyping board to enable rapid product development for iot end devices. With faster prototyping and lower costs, users have the flexibility to respond to rapid changes in technology and the market, reducing time to market. In addition, Renesas also introduced the RL78/G1D BLE module expansion board, which can be combined with the new prototype board to easily add Bluetooth Low Energy wireless communication capabilities.

     The new prototype development board is based on the RL78/G14 microcontroller (MCU), which offers the richest feature set in the low-power RL78 product family for motor control in portable devices, IoT sensors, and most IoT end devices, such as appliances, industrial equipment, building automation, and healthcare devices.
