Renesas Electronics introduces the exclusive WattShare technology wireless power P9415-R receiver

     Renesas Electronics Group, the world's leading provider of semiconductor solutions, announced the introduction of the P9415-R wireless power receiver using Renesas' exclusive WattShare technology as the latest addition to its wireless power solutions. The new 15W wireless power receiver enables smartphones, mobile power supplies, and portable industrial and medical devices to wirelessly charge other mobile devices and accessories with wireless charging capabilities. The P9415-R features up to 5W of transmit power in transmitter/receiver (TRx) mode, while being able to receive up to 15W of power on the Qi transmitter, making it fast and easy to charge mobile devices anytime, anywhere.

     The P9415-R is based on Renesas' proprietary WattShare technology and combines receiver and transmitter functions to wirelessly charge products such as smartphones, smartwatches, and true wireless headphone cases simply by placing them on a smartphone or other portable industrial and medical device. In WattShare TRx mode, the P9415-R enables these mobile devices to change power flow and provides up to 5W of power to charge other devices. Customers can use the same wireless power coil and the same P9415 circuit to complete wireless reception and power transmission.
