Renesas RXv2 MCU has advanced touch keys and security functions, and is an ideal choice for household appliances and industrial applications

     The RX140 microcontroller in the Renesas RX100 series has the highest processing performance and low power supply current. This makes them suitable for a wide range of household appliances, industrial and building automation applications. The RX140 with RXv2 core can achieve a maximum operating frequency of 48 MHz, and its performance is about twice that of the previous RX130 operating frequency of 32 MHz.

     Compared with the RX130, the power consumption of the CPU during operation is 56 µ A/MHz, and the power consumption in standby mode is 0.25 µ A, which reduces the power consumption by more than 30%. The low power consumption mode (sleep mode) also enables additional low power consumption modes for applications that require intermittent operation.

     The capacitive touch sensor is equipped with the third generation touch IP, which can significantly improve the noise resistance and water resistance, and has a wider range of applications, including applications where the accuracy is affected by noise or humidity. Peripheral functions have also been expanded, including CAN function supporting real-time communication, AES encryption accelerator used to reduce security threats such as data eavesdropping and tampering, and true random number generator.
