Renesas module can measure direct air velocity up to 15m/s

     The Renesas FS1015 and FS3000 modules provide direct air/gas flow measurement and enable closed-loop control for the system to detect fan or blower failures, fan speed control and filter blockage.

     The FS1015 and FS3000 wind speed modules can measure direct wind speeds up to 15m/s. Both of them share the same internal flow channel to produce the same output flow curve, while different mechanical housing designs are aimed at different installation requirements. The FS1015 has a lead wire for vertical installation and a side plate fixed with screws. The FS3000 targets thin plate surface mount applications and is designed to measure airflow around critical components.

     The traditional method of monitoring the temperature of key components is to use temperature sensor arrays or internal temperature sensors in MCU, GPU, MPU and other devices. These methods are inaccurate and complex because each system board needs to be modeled separately. FS1015 and FS3000 measure the direct local air, so that the system control can be adjusted quickly. By providing closed-loop control, the system can potentially reduce the energy cost of the system.
