TE Connectivity, a leading global provider of connectivity solutions, announces the BUCHANAN WireMate ITB (Reverse Threading Board) connector. These wire-to-board connectors are suitable for linear and circular LED modules in all types of commercial and industrial lighting systems.
The new reverse Poke-In connector has easy-to-use in-line and wire release features that help reduce installation time, as well as flexibility during reuse and wire replacement. There is no need for crimping and welding when connecting wires; The wire will be firmly held in place after insertion and will not be accidentally pulled out. If necessary, the stable overall release function can also be used to achieve the exit of the wire for rework.
In addition, the BUCHANAN WireMate reverse threaded Poke-In connector has a compact design and is only 2mm above the PCB upper surface. The wires are inserted horizontally to minimize the use of space under the PCB.
Asam Jiang, Product Manager, said: "This newly launched connector has extremely high versatility. The unique modular design enables customers to use more flexible color selection, which is easy to produce blind insertion applications and greatly improves production efficiency. Each connector can be applied to any combination of solid and stranded wires in the line size range of 22-18 AWG (0.35-0.75mm2). These connectors meet the UL 1977 Component Connector standard for data, signal, control and power applications."
BUCHANAN WireMate backboard Poke-In wire-to-board connectors have a maximum voltage rating of 320V and a current rating of 6A (for 18AWG wires) or 5A (for 20 and 22AWG wires). The connectors are moulded in a thermoplastic housing to withstand high SMT welding temperatures. The connectors are modular in design and can be used for up to five-wire connections and are available in different colors to prevent the installer from inserting wires by mistake.
