
The EBE Sensor + Motion has modified its handwheel HR100 for precise machine control. Thanks to innovative magnetoresistance and new Hall sensor technology, the handwheel offers significant advantages over traditional models with ball-spring resistance.
Production plants and industrial machines, such as CNC machine tools, in constant use, must play a role; Otherwise, production will stop. This is where the newly revised handwheel HR100 from EBE Sensor + motion comes into its own. The handwheel with 100 brake positions based on Hall sensors guarantees a very long service life compared to conventional systems. While mechanical systems lose accuracy over time due to wear and tear, the Hall sensors in the HR100 handwheel remain accurate and reliable throughout their service life. The newly designed magnetic buckle is also resistant to mechanical wear, increasing durability and reducing maintenance costs.
Scanning using the latest Hall sensor-based sensors also guarantees consistently good input accuracy compared to optical or mechanical scanning systems, even under difficult conditions such as vibration or shock. This is particularly beneficial in industrial environments where machines are often exposed to harsh environmental conditions. The noise resistance of Hall technology also ensures consistent high precision and reliability in all situations.
Another unique feature is intentionally integrated overflow. With 100 shock absorbers, the shock absorber mechanism allows for sensitive adjustments on the CNC machine. In cases where a longer travel distance is required for precise positioning, the overrun allows the operator to move the machine without starting the entire distance. In contrast, a system with a ball spring braking mechanism stops immediately in the braking position, even with rapid steering. This helps to control and optimize the manufacturing process more precisely.
The HR100 handwheel is available in two versions to meet the needs of users. One variant is specifically designed to be mounted on the control panel with selectable braking torque, where precise and reliable control is required directly at the machine interface. Another version is optimized in terms of weight and is used for manual control panels to ensure flexible and ergonomic handling, even in mobile apps. Of course, this variant can also be used for thin fixed control panels. Both models also offer expansion options with a variety of control knobs and scales made of rugged light metal to allow for additional adjustments and greater operating precision.
