
TE's new ERFV RF coaxial connectors enable board-to-board and board-to-filter connections between antennas and RF units at a lower cost, enabling next-generation 5G wireless product design. It can also provide the more reliable and lower-cost customized components needed for the design of future 5G wireless devices to support the expansion of wireless infrastructure around the world.
TE Connectivity (TE), a global leader in connectivity and sensors, today announced the launch of a new ERFV RF coaxial connector for 5G wireless applications. The ERFV coaxial connector offers a cost-effective, one-piece design and a wide range of inter-board height and connector configuration options for highly customized design. Depending on the product application, such as board to filter or printed circuit board PCB, ERFV connectors enable board to board heights ranging from 5.2mm to 20mm.
It is also suitable for board-to-board surface-mount connections, as well as screw-in or embedded connections for filters. In addition, the ERFV coaxial connector has good reliability with an axial tolerance of +/-1mm and a radial tolerance of +/-0.8mm, which enables excellent insertion loss and return loss of only 10GHz under DC conditions.
