Richtek's industrial grade, high/low end measurement, bi-directional current detection monitor features a 16-bit ADC operational amplifier/alarm

     Richtek RTQ6056 is a high precision current detection monitor with I²C and SMBus interface. The device provides complete information to the system by reading load current and power. The device monitors and detects voltage drops in resistance and bus voltage, converting current in amps and power in watts through an internal analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Built-in features include programmable calibration, adjustable conversion times and averaging functions to improve design flexibility.

     The RTQ6056 offers wide temperature environments ranging from -40°C to +125°C and operates at input voltages ranging from 2.7 V to 5.5 V. The device can detect currents at common-mode bus voltages ranging from 0 V to 36 V. The RTQ6056 provides alarm functionality with open leak output and full protection by alerting the host to overcurrent, overvoltage, and overpower conditions. It comes in a small MSOP-10 package.
