Rohm and Schwartz introduce a new high performance directional finding and monitoring integrated antenna system

     Rohm  & Schwartz announces the launch of the high-performance R&S ADD557SR direction finding and Monitoring antenna system. The system provides accurate direction finding capability in the frequency range from 20 MHz to 6 GHz for both vertical and horizontal polarization. The R&S ADD557SR direction finding and monitoring antenna system is an ideal choice for the R&S DDF550 wideband direction finder and the R&S DDF5GTS high-speed scanning direction finder. The new direction-finding antenna system incorporates the latest technology, making it a high-end, multifunctional device suitable for fixed and mobile applications on land, at sea and even in the air.

     Rohm and Schwartz introduced this new antenna system for the first time, and its applications are not limited to direction finding. The R&S ADD557SR integrates a separate antenna output that can be used independently of the direction finding system and in two polarization modes over a wide frequency range. The system helps to focus specific signals in the applied spectrum or suppress unwanted transmissions.

     In harsh electromagnetic environments with dense sources of strong transmissions, the new antenna system can be switched to passive mode in the range of V-/UHF to perform direction finding while avoiding saturation of active antenna elements, even in noisy radio environments.

     The R&S ADD557SR has super-resolution capability and uses advanced direction finding technology to determine the azimuth of multiple transmitted signals at the same frequency at the same time. The system can detect other transmitting signals hidden in the spectrum and find signals that other direction finding machines cannot detect. R&S DDF5GTS high speed scanning direction standard with super resolution function.
