SCHURTER FMAB NEO single-phase filter series adds new PE-Choke functions

SCHURTER brings additional features to the FMAB NEO single-phase filter family. The new model takes advantage of an added grounding choke to suppress high-frequency interference caused in the grounding conductor. The filter of the previous standard version only suppressed the noise of the phase line and neutral line, but did not filter the ground line. When high frequency interference occurs in the ground conductor, even the best filter becomes powerless. In this case, the new filter with integrated grounding choke provides a simple solution.

The new model of the FMAB NEO single-phase filter is equipped with a grounded choke. In addition to the common mode choke on the phase line and neutral line, the filter is also equipped with a choke on the ground line, located between the filter input and output. The filter has two ground connections at the input and output ends, while the ground connection at the power input is insulated from the housing. This ensures that the high frequency interference current that may occur on the grounding conductor does not bypass the filter through the housing. Especially when the medical filter (without Y capacitors) is equipped with a grounded choke, it effectively improves the asymmetric attenuation in the high frequency range.
