The proven UMF 250 SMD fuse series has been extended with a 15A version. SCHURTER now offers UMF 250 with a total of 15 current ratings between 500 mah and 15 amps. It is particularly suitable for electric vehicle applications with higher current ratings.
According to IEC 60127-4, the UMF 250 has fast characteristics (small melting integral) and is a reasonable complement to the successful umt250 series. It is sealed on potting compounds according to ATEX and IECEx requirements for sealing in intrinsically safe applications. Due to its high cycle stability and minimum temperature derating, it is very robust and anti-aging.
Due to its low internal resistance, the UMF 250 is well suited for primary and secondary protection of SMD boards. Applications for the UMF 250 include protection of battery-powered systems with a high shut-off capacity of 500 amps at 125 volts DC (e.g. electromobility). Fuses are also suitable for primary protection in the AC range, for example in voltage regulator modules and charging stations.
The UMF 250 can is a halogen-free and RoHS compliant fuse for lead-free welding processes. The compatibility of the solder surface with the most important competitor products allows SCHURTER to offer the UMF 250 as an alternative product. The fuse is cURus approved. There are 100 plastic bags or 2,000 tapes and rolls.
