SCHURTER introduces the piezoelectric PSE switch with PUR cable

     The use of switches in shower rooms, spas and pool facilities requires not only the correct selection of the relevant switching technology, but often the use of exceptionally long cables. To meet this requirement, SCHURTER introduced an easy-to-install piezoelectric switch, the PSE switch. This is a simple and clear high-end solution.

     The new PSE switch with cable preinstalled polyurethane cable is filled to provide maximum flexibility and highest IP protection during installation. The cable is 15 meters long and waterproof from the switch surface to the connection. The switch can be easily installed through the nut.

     The shell of the factory assembled piezoelectric PSE series switches is made of 1.4462 high-grade stainless steel. This steel is characterized by extremely high corrosion resistance, which is crucial in places with high humidity. The PSE switch offers maximum reliability and a long service life (20 million turns on), while the fully sealed housing makes it ideal for use in particularly harsh environments. It is worth noting that the PSE switch with cable is also resistant to chlorinated liquids and common pool chemicals.

     Other features of this switch include a ring indicator. The indicator can be configured with 7 colors, the supply voltage range is 5-28 VDC, and the brightness is constant. The new PSE switch with cable has a very wide range of applications. Although this switch was originally developed for spa and pool facilities, it is also ideal for a variety of hygiene applications. Other applications include medical technology, food processing or similar industrial applications where the requirements for switch robustness and reliability are highest.
