SIGLENT announced its new four-channel DC power supply, the SPD4000X

     SIGLENT has unveiled the SPD4000X series, a programmable linear DC power supply. This series has three versions, featuring a minimum resolution of 1mV/1mA and four separate programmable outputs. The total output power options are 240W, 285W, or 400W. To increase the voltage or current output, CH2 and CH3 can be connected internally in series or parallel with the press of a single button.

     The 4-wire remote voltage compensation sense feature, which is incorporated, may adjust the voltage to guarantee the stability and precision of the voltage at the device being tested. The SPD4000X series power supply is a versatile instrument for device testing, suitable for various applications including power electronics, manufacturing, wireless communications, and consumer electronics. The SPD4000X series enhances our well-received range of linear DC power supplies from Siglent by including increased power, flexibility, accuracy, and an additional fourth channel, all without requiring extra space.

     The SPD4000X can show voltage and current values with five digits, allowing for precise measurement. It also has a high resolution of 1mV/1mA for accurate setting and read back of values. The four output channels can be adjusted independently or switched on or off simultaneously. Series and parallel configurations enable combining two channels into a single output, with increased power output capacity. For instance, the SPD4306X can provide an output of 60V/6A when the outputs are connected in series. On the other hand, the SPD4121X can generate an output of 12V/20A when the outputs are connected in parallel.

     In addition, CH2 and CH3 can utilize the 4-wire sense mode provided. This mode automatically adjusts for any voltage loss that may occur in the positive and negative output lines. As a result, it guarantees that the voltage at the remote device being tested matches the set voltage of the power source. It is capable of achieving a maximum compensation voltage of 0.6V during high-precision tests or tests involving long cables.
