SMDS and radial PPTC fuses increase resistance under overload conditions

     For both surface and radial mounting, YAGEO offers the economical and fun PPTC fuses supplied by Jules. Among other things, they differ in the maximum voltage the application can withstand at rated current without damage. These fuses are special in that their resistance increases due to self-heating under overload, so that the current becomes relatively small.

     Resettable fuses can trip more than once because the component itself (after interrupting the circuit and cooling) becomes low resistance again and can therefore continue to be used. The variety of specifications make it a reliable solution for auxiliary power, industrial, smart meters, security monitoring, telecommunications and other connection protection applications. The SMD variant offers reconfigurable miniature overcurrent protection that holds current IHOLD up to 7A and maximum voltages of 24V, 30V, 48V or 60V.

     They are fast to fault current response, low profile, and their compact design allows for more PCB space. SMD Fuses are RoHS compliant, lead - and halogen-free, certified by UL/ culle482628, RoHS2011/65/EU TUV B160696048001 and DIN EN 14582:2007. They are also compatible with high temperature welding processes. Radial wiring, resettable fuses allow overcurrent protection, keeping current IHOLD up to 14 a.

     With high voltage overvoltage capability, the series is suitable for applications with higher operating voltages of 16V, 30V, 60V, 130V, 250V or 500V. These fuses work reliably at temperatures from -40℃ to +85℃. They can be stored almost indefinitely at room temperature 30℃ and maximum humidity 85% (MSL1, according to J-STD-020). Its flame-retardant epoxy polymer insulation meets the requirements of UL94 V-0. They are also available in lead-free versions.
