ST introduces the new STM32 microcontroller

     STMicroelectronics introduces a new microcontroller chip that enables Internet of Things (IOT) applications such as wearable devices and smart home appliances to have excellent graphics processing performance and achieve intuitive graphical user interfaces like smartphones. By integrating Chrom-ART Accelerator  technology with MIPI-DSI technology, which is already widely used in advanced smartphones and tablets, the new STM32F469/479 series of microcontrollers can achieve a higher level of performance without increasing cost or compromising battery life.

     To facilitate the proliferation of "smart things" such as wearable fitness equipment and smart appliances, the new microcontroller incorporates state-of-the-art real-time processing performance and embedded communication interfaces, allowing iot applications to more quickly connect to software ecosystems that are becoming a part of People's Daily lives, such as application stores.

     Based on a powerful, low-power 32-bit ARM® Cortex-M4 MCU(microcontroller unit) core, supported by Chrom-ART Accelerator and ART Accelerator™ access acceleration technology, The new product improves graphics processing performance, real-time processing speed, and the speed of kernel access to program memory. By integrating the accelerator and MIPI-DSI interface, the new microcontroller can independently perform demanding real-time system control, monitoring and other applications without the need for a more powerful and power-hungry processor.

     In addition, the new products benefit from ST's many years of industry-leading low-power technology and packaging technology. Power minimization can extend the charging interval for iot applications, encapsulate these complex electronic circuits in the smallest possible space, and enable product manufacturers to meet the growing consumer demand for smaller and lighter products.
