ST's NFC transceiver chip helps Sturman Shanghai develop a new NFC/RFID UART module

     STMicroelectronics announced that its NFC transceiver chip has been used by Shanghai Sturman Communication Technology Co., Ltd. to design a new generation of NFC/RFID UART modules, Sturman is a well-known protocol stack supplier in the NFC and Bluetooth markets.

     The new module combines compact dimensions, stable performance and optimized power consumption to help device manufacturers develop RF reader systems for exchanging pairing data and verifying user identity in healthcare devices, industrial automation equipment, home appliances and consumer electronics.

     The NFCMod+S68 module integrates ST's ST95HF NFC/RFID transceiver chip, STM32F4 microcontroller and Shanghai Stuhmann's NFC protocol stack and UART driver software, which conforms to ISO14443 A/B, Felica and ISO15693 industry standards. It supports reading mode, card mode and point-to-point data transmission, and can read various types of contact smart cards currently on the market.
