STMicroelectronics ISO808x electrically isolated 8-channel driver

     The ISO808x electrically isolated 8-channel driver is designed to drive any type of side grounded load. Each driver contains two separate electrically isolated voltage domains (VCC and VDD at the process and control logic levels). These drivers feature low supply current, 45VCC(AMR), 0.125Ω (typical value) RDS per channel (on), IC output disabled reset, high common-mode transient suppression, and output channel short-circuit protection.

     ISO808x drivers also have per-channel overheating protection, independent channel thermal independence, housing overheating protection, overvoltage protection, and GND and VCC failure protection.

     The ISO808 driver includes an additional casing temperature sensor that protects the entire chip from overheating (OVC events). Non-overload channels continue to work normally.

     These drives also include ground fail-safe, VCC and VDD UVLO (with hysteresis), and watchdog embedded functionality. The ISO808x driver is used for programmable logic control, industrial PC peripheral input/output, and digital control machines.
