STMicroelectronics SM50TxAY 5000W Transient Voltage suppressor

The STMicroelectronics SM50TxAY 5000W Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) is packaged in SMC and is designed to protect sensitive automotive circuits from surges as defined in ISO 7637-2. These voltage suppressors also protect sensitive automotive circuits from electrostatic discharge and meet ISO 10605 standards.

The SM50TxAY series transient Voltage suppressors are suitable for use in electronic circuit breakers and contribute to ISO 16750 compliance. Planar technology makes it compatible with high-end circuits that require high junction and low leakage current to provide stability and long-term reliability. These transient voltage suppressors are available in JEDEC certified package shapes and unidirectional and bidirectional types. The SM50TxAY transient voltage suppressor has a peak pulse power consumption of 5000W and a storage temperature range of -65ºC to 175ºC.
