STMicroelectronics announces range of high performance vehicle gauge GaN products

     STMicroelectronics, a global semiconductor leader serving multiple electronic applications, has announced the STi2GaN family of intelligent integrated gallium nitride (GaN) solutions. STi2GaN is an innovative product, unique in the market, that integrates power stages and intelligent circuits in a compact, high-performance solution to meet the needs of the automotive industry in the general trend of electrification.

     Based on STMicroelectronics rich experience in automotive applications, leading edge and innovation in intelligent power technology, wide-gap semiconductor materials and packaging technology, the STi2GaN series uses GaN technology to integrate single-chip power stages, drive and protection circuits. Data processing and control circuits are added through system-level package (SiP) solutions to meet market demand for special-purpose chips. The STi2GaN solution uses ST's new leadless packaging technology to improve chip stability, reliability and performance.
