STMicroelectronics has released the industry's first microcontroller system chip security solution

     STMicroelectronics has released the industry's first microcontroller system chip security solution, STM32Trust TEE Secure Manager, which simplifies the embedded application development process and ensures security protection services "out of the box." First used in the STM32H5 family of microcontrollers, the STM32Trust TEE Secure Manager solution eliminates the need for developers to write and validate their own security code, while providing security services developed according to best practices.

     Ricardo De Sa Earp, Executive Vice President, Universal MicroController Sub-Business Unit of STMicroelectronics MicroController and Digital IC Products Division, said: "The growing emphasis in society on application security and customer demands for rapid delivery of certified Secure, high-performance applications led us to work closely with ST licensed partner ProvenRun to develop STM32Trust TEE Secure Manager. Secure Manager keeps user assets and data secure, making it easier for customers to add valuable security features to their development projects while facilitating customer application authentication."

     As a major development partner of Arm, STMicroelectronics supports the development of applications on the Cortex-M33 kernel that comply with the PSA Certified Level 3 and GlobalPlatform SESIP3 security specifications. In addition, stmicroelectronics has partnered with Microsoft Azure to develop high-security middleware and with ProvenRun to develop the STM32Trust TEE Secure Manager based on its ProvenCore-M Trusted execution environment operating system technology.

     In addition, STMicroelectronics pre-integrated Kudelski IoT from Kudelski IoT, a licensed partner of STMicroelectronics, on STM32Trust TEE Secure Manager keySTREAM™ Trust root supports credential lifecycle remote management services. As such, it is a secure plug-in solution that provides secure services such as software isolation, encryption, key storage, and initial credentials.
