STMicroelectronics introduces High precision and high bandwidth operational amplifiers

     STMicroelectronics introduces the TSV7722 high-precision, high-bandwidth operational amplifier with a gain bandwidth of 22MHz and a voltage swing rate of 11V/μs, ideal for high-speed signal conditioning and accurate current measurement in power conversion circuits and optical sensors.

     An input offset voltage of up to 200µV (typically 50µV at 25°C), combined with an ultra-low input voltage noise density of 7nV/√Hz, allows the TSV7722 to accurately measure low-side currents. In addition, the 2pA typical input bias current allows the TSV7722 to accurately measure photodiode current in optical inductance measurement applications such as firework detectors. The TSV7722 is a unit-gain stable amplifier that can drive capacitive loads up to 47pF and is used as an input buffer in analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).

     The TSV7722 operates in a voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V and can use the same power supply as low-voltage CMOS devices such as microcontrollers, or can even be powered by severely low-charge batteries. In addition, the precision parameters and temperature stability of the TSV7722 further simplify circuit design, ensuring excellent accuracy without the use of precision resistors or post-assembly adjustments.

     The TSV7722 provides accurate, responsive current measurement for power conversion systems, improving energy efficiency in applications such as smart automotive systems, solar panels, telecommunications infrastructure and computer servers. The product will be launched in the second half of 2021. The TSV7722 is included in ST's 10-year product Assurance program, which guarantees long-term supply.
