STMicroelectronics introduces the ACEPACK SMIT package with ultra-high heat dissipation capacity

     STMicroelectronics has introduced ACEPACK SMIT packaged power semiconductor devices in a variety of common bridge topologies. Stmicro's advanced ACEPACK™ SMIT package simplifies assembly and increases module power density compared TO traditional TO packages

     Engineers have five products to choose from: two STPOWER 650V MOSFET half-bridge modules, a 600V ultrafast diode rectifier module, a 1200V half-bridge full-wave rectifier module and a 1200V thyristor half-bridge rectifier module. All devices meet automotive industry requirements, suitable for electric vehicle on-board charger (OBC) and DC/DC converter, as well as industrial power conversion.

     STMicroelectronics ACEPACK SMIT mount package, top insulation heat dissipation, using direct bonded copper (DBC) patch technology for efficient top package cooling. A 4.6 cm2 bare metal surface on the top surface of the ACEPACK SMIT package allows for easy mounting of a flat radiator, thus saving space and achieving a flat design that maximizes heat dissipation efficiency and achieves greater reliability at high power levels. Modules and radiators can be installed using automated line equipment, which saves on manual production processes and increases productivity.

     This package greatly improves the power density. The area of the top insulation and cooling surface is 32.7mm x 22.5mm, the creepage distance between pins is 6.6mm, the insulation voltage is 4500Vrms, and the parasitic inductance and capacitance of the package are also very low.650V-MDmesh DM6 MOSFET half-bridge modules SH68N65DM6AG and SH32N65DM6AG in ACEPACK SMIT package are now available and comply with AQG-324 standards.

     The maximum on-off resistance Rds(on) of SH68N65DM6AG and SH32N65DM6AG are 41mΩ and 97mΩ, respectively. The two devices are suitable for electric vehicle on-board charger and DC/DC converter. The table is attached to the water channel radiator, which greatly improves the heat dissipation power and improves the efficiency of the whole machine. Versatile flexibility helps equipment manufacturers simplify inventory management and procurement selection.

     STTH60RQ06-M2Y is a 600V, 60A full-wave rectifier bridge car scale block consisting of soft recovery ultrafast diodes, available for PPAP documentation.STTD6050H-12M2Y is a 1200V, 60A single-phase half-bridge AC/DC rectifier module. It conforms to the AEC-Q101 standard with excellent anti-noise ability and dV/dt up to 1000V/μs.

     STTN6050H-12M1Y is a 1200V, 60A SCR half-bridge rectifier module consisting of two internally connected thyristors (SCRS). It complies with the AEC-Q101 standard. The target applications include on-board chargers and charging piles for electric vehicles, as well as industrial applications. For example, AC/DC converter of motor driving mechanism and power supply, single-phase and three-phase controllable rectifier bridge, totem pole power factor correction, solid state relay.
