STMicroelectronics launches STM32 Digital Power Ecosystem to accelerate the development of advanced and efficient power solutions

     STMicroelectronics has launched a web-based digital power development ecosystem to help designers develop digital power solutions with STM32 microcontrollers (MCUS).Digital power supplies are a new class of devices that can optimize energy efficiency and enable diagnostic and safety protection functions by capturing rich data, allowing designers to increase power density, reduce product size, and reduce weight through digital control, which is critical for data centers, 5G infrastructure, smart lighting, and mobile devices.

     The STM32 D-Power website integrates all the resources you need to develop a Digital power supply, including the STM32 Discovery Kit all-in-one digital Power development Kit, embedded software components, software tools developed by ST licensed partner Biricha Digital, Dedicated power boards demonstrating various designs and power values, technical documentation, video tutorials and guides for developers of all levels, from beginners to professional power designers, as well as a four-day development hands-on workshop by Biricha demonstrating how to build a digital power supply using the STM32 MCU.

     The ecosystem supports three levels of STM32 digital power microcontrollers that combine the benefits of the Arm® Cortex-M industry-standard kernel with on-chip capabilities optimized for digital power applications. The STM32F334 Starter Edition, the STM32G474 Advanced Edition, and the high-performance STM32H7 series MCU all include a flexible, high-resolution timer for generating high-precision pulse width modulation (PWM) signals for stable control of the switching power supply circuit.
