STMicroelectronics' reverse buck converter is suitable for dimmable LED applications with MASTERGAN4, HVLED002 and VIPER06XS

     STMicroelectronics EVLMG4-500WIBCK is a reverse step-down converter based on MasterGaN4, which is specially designed for efficient LED lighting applications requiring minimum size. The device has two GaN power transistors and a driver embedded in the same package, so it can be directly connected to any type of SMPS controller. The converter adopts GaN technology and embedded driver, which has higher working frequency than traditional MOSFET.

     The board is very efficient and compact, without radiator, and users can achieve a small and light solution to better handle hundreds of watts of applications.
