STMicroelectronics has announced a new generation of STM32MP2 series industrial-grade microprocessors (MPUs) to drive the future of smart factories, smart healthcare, smart buildings and smart infrastructure. Digital transformation is sweeping the globe, driving companies to increase productivity, improve the quality of health care, and strengthen the safety and energy management of buildings, utilities, and transportation networks. Core enabling technologies for digitalization include cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT). St's new generation of STM32MP2 microprocessors (MPUs) will power the next generation of devices that build this evolving digital world. These devices include industrial controllers and machine vision systems, scanners, medical wearables, data aggregators, gateways, smart appliances, and industrial and home robots, among others.

The STM32MP2 MPUs is specifically designed for demanding and time-sensitive work tasks, AI reasoning and communication, with advanced network security for up to a decade of continuous operation. The new STM32MP2 microprocessor features advanced security with ST's proprietary security hardware, tamper-proof controls, secure firmware and secure network configuration technologies, combined with Arm's TrustZone architecture to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive data and keys. STM32MP2 MPUs is undergoing SESIP Level 3 certification, the leading security testing method for iot device security and compliance, It is designed to meet the upcoming stricter cybersecurity protection requirements in major regions of the world, including the US CyberTrust mark certification, which will come into effect in 2025, and the EU Radio Equipment Directive.

Now, we are very interested in the application opportunities presented by ST's latest MPUs, especially the STM32MP2 series, as its higher energy efficiency allows us to reduce the heat dissipation requirements of the speaker as much as possible.
