
FMAD NEO is the latest family of single-stage band midline filters for use in three-phase systems. The new filter family is compact and has high performance, especially suitable for today's portable industrial machines, and is designed to take up less manufacturing floor space. In addition, its wide operating temperature range makes it suitable for many critical applications.
Three-phase control cabinets always seem to have a serious space limitation problem. SCHURTER has solved this problem with a new filter design that is more compact than previous products. The new almost cube-shaped design optimizes the available space inside the control cabinet housing. The best quality components are used in the design, but the attenuation of the filter is still high relative to its more compact size.
The new filter family is also suitable for devices with high EMC loads. Typical application areas include converters for photovoltaic systems, battery storage units or charging stations for electric vehicles. These high performance filters are also the filter of choice for modern frequency converters for motor control.
The FMAD NEO filter series features safe and reliable terminals. All-metal flanges ensure good grounding after mounting to the chassis with screws. The installation itself has six fixing holes for symmetrical and asymmetric installation.
Standard models can be used in a wide temperature range between -40°C and 100°C. This series of filters is suitable for applications with ambient temperatures of 50°C and currents ranging from 16A to 230A. The range is ENEC and cURus certified and is recommended for use in 520VAC and below. Standard models are designed for industrial applications with leakage currents below 13 mA. In addition, special models are available for applications with leakage currents below 3 mA.
The newly designed FMAD NEO series replaces the SCHURTER FMAD filter. The performance of the new series meets or exceeds that of its predecessors, while achieving significant reductions in size and weight. In addition, the series is a perfect alternative to competitors' products.
