Semtech's LoRa devices are integrated into Balfong's infrared temperature sensors

     Semtech Corporation, a leading provider of high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products and advanced algorithms, announced: Polysense Technologies Inc. (" Polysense "), an innovative provider of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for fiber optic and wireless sensing, has developed a series of intelligent temperature monitoring products based on Semtech LoRa devices. The real-time data provided by temperature sensors can support health care providers to effectively screen for people with abnormal temperatures. The solution was recently shipped to Italy to help respond to the COVID-19 outbreak.

     Blixin has launched two LORa-based temperature monitoring products. The WxS x800-IRTM is a wireless sensor monitor for real-time human temperature measurement, utilizing thermal sensing technology and embedded LoRa devices to continuously monitor human body temperature in real time. The sensor utilizes a LoRaWAN protocol based connection to automatically upload temperature monitoring data to a cloud platform application and perform trend analysis. If the monitoring data exceeds the normal temperature value, an alarm message is sent to the mobile device, so that the person with abnormal temperature can avoid contact with others and seek medical attention immediately.

     The WxS x810-IRTMS is an independent thermal sensing body temperature detection device for use in public places. The product can be deployed on public transport, airports, train stations, schools, shopping malls and entrances to large buildings to help public health personnel effectively monitor the body temperature of the population and screen for people with abnormal body temperature. The WxS x810-IRTMS can be deployed in less than five minutes to perform temperature screening and improve safety in public Spaces.
