Sensirion introduces S liquid flow sensor

     Sensirion, a leading global manufacturer of flow and environmental sensors, announced the launch of a new product in the SLF3x family: the SLF3S-0600F liquid flow sensor. The SLF3S-0600F bidirectional measures very low flow rates up to ±3000 µl/min and has the same outstanding features as existing SLF3S-1300F sensors. This makes this new sensor suitable for a wide range of applications in diagnostics, analytical instrumentation and life sciences. The first prototype samples of the SLF3S-0600F are now available for testing.

     SLF3x is Sensirion's latest innovation in liquid flow sensing. Building on Sensirion's more than 20-year track record of excellence in low - and minimum-flow sensing, the fundamentally optimized SLF3x mechanical design elevates established functionality to a higher price/performance ratio. Based on Sensirion's CMOSens® technology, the SLF3x series of sensors optimizes costs by simplifying design without compromising performance or without giving up any user-friendly fluid, electrical and mechanical connections.

     The new sensor allows two-way measurement of water and hydrocarbon-based fluid flow rates up to ±3000 µl/min. Combined with an excellent signal-to-noise ratio and an unprecedented 300:1 regulation ratio, it allows real-time monitoring of any fluid system, improving process control and enabling advanced fault detection. The straight and unobvious runner has no moving parts and is made of inert wetted material with excellent chemical resistance and excellent media compatibility.

     The SLF3x sensor family provides unmatched fluid control, system reliability, performance and end user satisfaction for a range of applications in diagnostic, analytical instrumentation and life sciences. The ultra-compact form factor and cost-effective design pave the way for system designs with one or more sensors, which were not feasible before.
