SiTime's new MEMS oscillator offers excellent performance at -55 ° C

     SiTime, the market leader in MEMS clocks, has announced an important new feature for the SiTime Endura SiT5146 Super-TCXO (temperature-compensated MEMS oscillator). Previously, these products could operate in a range as low as -40 ° C, but now they can reach -55 ° C. With this new feature, SiT5146 provides best-in-class performance and stability over temperatures ranging from -55 ° C to +105 ° C, benefiting airborne applications such as low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellites, commercial aircraft, satellite communications systems, rocket launch systems, and ground systems operating in extremely cold environments.

Through the rapid development of derivative products, we have extended the low temperature operating temperature range of SiT5146 to -55 ° C, while maintaining stability and excellent performance of ±1 to ±2.5ppm in the case of shock and vibration. With these features, the SiTime Endura SiT5146 is ideal for airborne and ground applications operating in extremely cold environments."

     The SiTime Endura SiT5146 is a rugged ±1 to ±2.5ppm MEMS Super-TCXO with a package size of 5.0mm x 3.2mm and offers two vibration sensitivities: 0.009ppb/g and 0.1ppb/g can withstand high levels of shock and vibration while continuing to deliver superior performance. The SiT5146 is programmable in frequency (from 1MHz to 60MHz) with a precision of 6 decimal places and can be programmed at the factory for any combination of frequency, stability, voltage and pull range, resulting in shorter lead times. SiT5146 is now in mass production and available to customers.
