Silicon Labs Series 2 Wireless SoCs provide the wireless connectivity needed for the future Internet of Things

     Silicon Labs BG24 and MG24 Series 2 wireless System on Chip (SoC) devices. The product family is a 2.4GHz RF enabled low power wireless SoC with AI/ML hardware accelerators, providing the ideal solution for mesh Internet of Things (IoT) wireless connectivity using Matter, OpenThread and Zigbee protocols. These new wireless SoCs support a variety of smart home, lighting and building automation applications, including gateways and hubs, sensors, location services and predictive maintenance.

     The Silicon Labs EFR32MG24 Wireless SoC uses an Arm Cortex-M33 microcontroller that runs at 78MHz and provides 1.5MB of flash memory and 256KB of RAM. These SOCs are energy efficient and equipped with AI/ML hardware accelerators to ensure high reliability for both current and future iot designs. The EFR32MG24 SoC also offers a wealth of MCU peripherals, including two digital-to-analog converters, up to 32 universal I/O pins (with output state hold and asynchronous interrupt capabilities), two 32-bit timers/counters (with three compare/capture /PWM channels), and two 32-bit real-time counters. EFR32MG24 Series 2 Wireless SoCs provide powerful performance and operate at temperatures ranging from −40°C to +125°C.

     The EFR32BG24 Wireless SoC supports Bluetooth Low Power (BLE 5.3) and Bluetooth mesh networking connectivity with excellent low power wireless performance and rich security features. Due to the low power consumption of the system, these devices provide 4.4mA RX current and 5mA (0dBm output) /19.1mA (10dBm output) /156.8mA (19.5dBm output) TX current. Security features of these SOCs include hardware encryption acceleration, secure debug unlocking, true random number generators, and secure key management with PUF.
