Small UMT-H surface mount fuses rated up to 50A

     SCHURTER's UMT-H series of surface mount ceramic fuses are of high quality, and now new models with rated currents of 40A and 50A have been added to this series, and their rated breaking capacity can be as high as 500A at 125VAC/72VDC. This series of products provides overcurrent and short-circuit protection for the first time, and is compact, with a product size of only 5.3x16mm.

     UMT-H series fuses were originally developed to provide a smaller alternative to 5x20mm through-hole mount fuses, which are typically used for main circuit protection. At present, UMT-H series products have covered 26 kinds of rated current from 160mA to 50A. The maximum rated voltage is 277 VAC / 250 VDC, the rated current is up to 6.3A, and its rated breaking capacity can be up to 1500A. The time delay characteristics of UMT-H series fuses make them resistant to high inrush and pulse currents.

     The UMT-H series has undergone continuous development and has now introduced models with higher current ratings for secondary protection in battery powered applications. The product application area is very broad, from engines to various emerging applications that rely on accumulators and various conventional applications. UMT-H provides a comprehensive ideal solution for many applications in the energy, data, medical, industrial control and automotive industries. The series also do not penetrate conformal coatings, making them ideal for ATEx and IECEx certified equipment used in hazardous environments.

     Various breaking capacity measurements have been made on the UMT-H at specific weld widths. The allowable ambient temperature range is -55°C to 125°C. Larger pads ensure optimal heat dissipation. Designed according to IEC 60127-7 and UL 248-14, the UMT-H is VDE and cURus certified and also tested to IEC, MIL-STD 202 and AEC-Q200.
