The AS7350 achieves this for the first time by enabling light source identification through spectral reconstruction, achieving unprecedented automatic white point balance accuracy in any light condition.

     Professional photographers understand the impact of different light sources on photo quality and color effects. White dot balance is one of the core functions of modern photography, which can compensate the distortion effect of the image to the ambient light and process the color. Advanced white point balancing capabilities for consumer devices enable features previously reserved for the professional camera market. The AS7350 recognizes any type of light source, including daylight, incandescent, fluorescent, all types of leds and any combination of them.

 

     The most advanced spectral ambient light sensor on the market has 11 channels, 8 equal-pitch visible light, 1 flicker, 1 near-infrared and 1 clear channel, all in a small LGA package of 3.1 mm x 2.0 mm x 1.0 mm. The scintillation channel detects artificial light sources with a scintillation frequency of 50 Hz to 3 KHZ and above, depending on the implementation.
