Stmicro introduces GSMA compatible eSIM chip for ST4SIM M2M to the mass market

     The industrial eSIM chip of ST Semiconductor provides all services required for the connection of IoT devices and cellular networks, and is very suitable for machine condition monitoring and predictive maintenance, as well as asset tracking, energy management, networked healthcare and other devices. In addition, these eSIM chips allow customers to remotely manage SIM profiles according to GSMA specifications, and change network service providers without accessing devices.

     Laurent Degauque, Marketing Director of Security Microcontroller Department of ST Semiconductor, said: "With its rich built-in functions and world-class network configuration services, our ST4SIM series provides a convenient networking solution for many M2M applications. Now this chip is launched in the mass market, allowing developers everywhere to deploy secure and flexible cellular networks to more applications, including independent M2M development, proof of concept and prototype development projects."

     ST is also responsible for device activation and service deployment, and arranging customers to use the device registration and service configuration platform provided by Truphone, an ST authorized partner. By using ST4SIM exploration kit B-L462E-CELL1 of STFA Semiconductor, users can also evaluate all product functions pre integrated in the complete ecosystem.

     ST4SIM has passed the GSMA certification, and is manufactured by GSMA SAS-UP  certified factories in France Semiconductor Europe and Southeast Asia. It is packaged with industry standard MFF2 5mm x 6mm DFN8 Weatable Flank.
