Stmicroelectronics expands its 5V op-amp range to optimize power and signal conditioning performance

     The minimum operating voltage of the TSV782 is 2.0V, which can still operate normally after deep discharge of the battery, thus extending the working time of equipment such as smoke alarms. Operating with a current of only 3.3mA per amplifier, it helps designers maximize application energy budgets and support richer features, such as innovative smart features and wireless connectivity. In addition, the 2.0V minimum operating voltage also allows the op amp to use the same power rail as the low-voltage logic device, simplifying system design and reducing bill of material costs.

 


     The TSV782 is equipped with rail-to-rail input/output and a maximum voltage swing rate of 20V/µs. It belongs to stmicroelectronics' high-performance rail-to-rail operational amplifier series. The series also includes the TSV772 with GBW 20MHz gain bandwidth and a maximum swing rate of 13V/µs, and the 50MHzTSV792 with 5.5mA operating current per channel. Other stmicroelectronics operational amps include the TSV7722 and related products with low-orbit input stages optimized for low-side current measurement in power conversion systems.

 


     The high precision of STMicro's 5V op-amp series allows designers to develop circuits that do not require fine-tuning or calibration on the production line, thus saving costly external components such as precision resistors and potentiometers. The new TSV782 offers a maximum input bias current of 300pA at temperatures up to 125°C, enabling accurate signal conditioning performance in analog circuits using high-impedance sensors or cross-impedance amplifiers.
