Stmicroelectronics introduced low noise low voltage voltage regulator for energy saving

     Stmicro's LD56020 200mA low-voltage drop regulator uses a 1.1V to 5.5V power supply with low output noise, suitable for applications with high requirements for stability and battery life，Highly priced and ideal for mobile devices, vision sensors and wireless connection modules, the LD56020 has a very low voltage drop, with a maximum of only 190mV at full load and a maximum static current of 25µA at light load. External enable pins allow the control logic to put the regulator in standby mode, reducing the static current below 0.1µA.

     The supply voltage suppression (SVRIN) of the LD56020 is 90dB(1kHz, 20mA) and the output noise is only 8.8µVRMS(10Hz to 100kHz), providing a pure power rail for low-voltage digital circuits. A small ceramic capacitor is used to stabilize the circuit voltage at the input and output ends of the voltage regulator. Reducing the total number of components required for the design minimizes Bill of Material costs and, combined with the regulator's 0.65mm x 0.65mm micro-chip scale package (CSP), ensures compact circuit area with minimal impact on PCB size.

     The regulator incorporates protection features, including short-circuit current reentry and undervoltage locking to prevent excessive dissipation power in the event of system failure, as well as overheating protection and internal discharge channels
