Superior Sensor introduces a new pressure sensor for HVAC

     Superior Sensor Technology announced the introduction of the HV160 pressure sensor for industrial heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, providing manufacturers with a single solution that supports up to eight different pressure ranges in a single sensor. The sensor is based on the company's advanced Multi-Range. Technology to achieve the widest dynamic range in the industry while delivering a 10x increase in performance compared to competing solutions. The HV160 allows HVAC manufacturers to use a single sensor to support a pressure range of 625Pa to 15KPa while maintaining a pressure range in each selected range. An industry-leading accuracy of 0.10% eliminates the need to manage eight different sensor inventories.

     The HV160 is pin-compatible with Superior Sensor Technology's existing HV family of sensor solutions, which makes it easy for existing customers to incorporate new sensors into their existing designs. The sensor supports eight different pressure ranges from 625 to 15K Pa (2.5 to 60 inH20) and maintains a constant pressure range. 0.10% accuracy, < 0.30% FSS TEB < Long-term drift of 0.25% FSS. The HV series sensors are based on the NimbleSense architecture, an integrated platform that combines advanced piezoresistive sensing components, analog signal paths, processing intelligence, and proprietary integration technologies to create the industry's highest performing sensor solutions.

     Factory-calibrated and performance-optimized to support up to eight different pressure ranges, the HV160 is ideal for a wide range of HVAC products, including air filter monitoring systems, handheld test systems, variable flow volumetric boxes (VAVs) and positive pressure modules. Manufacturers can use a single HV160 to quickly introduce new products with different pressure characteristics. This capability minimizes inventory costs while also enabling manufacturers to design multiple products with one architecture, which speeds up product development.
