TDK-EPCOS offers its Large Diameter Inrush Current Limiter (ICLs) for high Watt Applications

     TDK-EPCOS introduces the P27 Series EPCOS NTC ICLs with a nominal disk diameter of 27 mm and lead spacing of 7.5 mm, thus expanding the product portfolio of large NTC ICLs for industrial electronics applications. The high material density of the NTC ICLs enables an efficient capacity, high-performance design with a maximum disk thickness of 7 mm.

     The P27 series has very stable and reliable electrical characteristics. It offers a resistance rating of 0.5 ohm 10 ohm 25°C and is able to handle high currents of 30, depending on the type. Because the NTC ICLs have very low resistance in the operating state, they provide very low power consumption in both AC and DC circuits.

     The large diameter components of the P27 series are particularly suited to large motors and drivers as well as a variety of high power sources, as well as industrial applications such as welding and plasma cutting equipment. They can be used in soft starting motors, such as those used in vacuum cleaners or electric lawn mowers. The coating material of the P27 Series ICLs is flame retardant and UL 94 V-0 certified. Components comply with RoHS and UL certification (E69802).
