TDK Extended Coupling Inductor Portfolio

     TDK Group launched the new EPCOS B82472D6 series coupling inductor, expanding the coupling inductor product portfolio. The new series includes 9 products, with inductance ranging from 2 x 2.2 µ H to 2 x 47 µ H and maximum rated current ranging from 1.1 A to 4.3 A. Among them, the choke compatible with RoHS instruction has obtained AEC-Q200 certification, and has a large saturation current up to 7.95 A; The size of the magnetic shield inductor is only 7.3 x 7.3 x 4.8 mm, which is suitable for a wide temperature range from - 55 ° C to+150 ° C. The coupling coefficient of inductance varies from 97% to 99%, depending on the model.

     These components are compact and durable, which have been proven in practice and are widely used: they are used in various non isolated DC/DC converter topologies, such as SEPIC, Cuk and Zeta; Used as a transformer in flyback and multi output step-down topologies. In the latter application, the coupling inductor is used to provide the secondary output voltage. In addition, the insulation voltage between the two windings of these components is>500 V, which can be used as a common mode choke in the power line.
