TDK Lambda Medical and Industrial 4:1 input 15 W to 30 W DC/DC converters have 5 kVac isolation

     TDK Lambda's 15 W to 20 W PXG-M and 30 W PXD-M30 plate-mounted DC/DC converter families offer input/output isolation of 5000 V(AC), allowing them to be used in a variety of medical and industrial applications. With input ranges of 4:1,9 V(DC) to 36 V(DC) and 18 V(DC) to 75 V(DC), these two series meet IEC 60601-1(medical) and IEC 62368-1 (ICT(Information and Communication Technology) Equipment) certification.

     The PXG-M and PXD-M30 series are available in industry-standard package sizes, The overall dimensions are 40.6 mm x 25.4 mm x 10.2 mm (1.6" x 1.0" x 0.4 ") and 50.8 mm x 25.4 mm x 10.2 mm (2.0" x 1.0" x 0.4 "). Single output is available at 5 V, 12 V, 15 V, and 24 V and dual output is available at ±5 V, ±12 V, and ±15 V in all three power levels. Single output mode has an output adjustment function using a balance pin.

     The unit will operate under convection cooling at ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to 105°C. Derating may be required at high temperatures and can be minimized by using an external airflow. The standard configuration has overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature protection. No load input current consumption is only 12 mah or less, allowing battery-powered devices to remain functional for longer periods of time when not working. The positive/negative logic remote switch is optional.

     Both series have input/output isolation of 5000 V(AC)(2×MOPP) and contact current of less than 2.5μA. Safety certifications include IEC/EN 60601-1, ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1, and IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 low voltage CE marking and RoHS instruction. It meets the requirements of en55011-a or en55032-a and does not require external EMI filtering.
