
TDK Lambda's TPF45000-385 non isolated modular AC/DC power supply is developed for distributed power architecture (DPA) and DC microgrid. Efficiency 98%, 45kw rated TPF45000 provides regulated 385 V (DC) output with output current up to 117 a. The extremely low internal losses enable the use of fan cooling to avoid the complexity of water cooling.
This industrial grade product can be used in semiconductor testing and aging systems, replacing multiple traditional AC/DC power supplies to drive 48v input DC/DC converters at local load points. When the 385 V (DC) output of TPF is used, the high current bus is no longer required, and it provides power for similar DC/DC converters that accept 200 V (DC) to 420 V (DC) inputs.
TPF45000 is also suitable for led based garden lighting, and can also benefit from the power system based on 385v (DC) micro grid topology. By using solar panels and other renewable energy sources, AC power for lighting from the grid can be significantly reduced, thereby reducing the cost of power for growers. When there is no alternative energy source, TPF 45000 with 98% efficiency provides necessary power for lighting. Many LED drivers now accept high-voltage DC inputs, reducing power loss during AC/DC conversion.
This series of products is composed of up to 10 4.5 kW modules. In a high package less than 3U, it can provide up to 45 kw output power, and can work in the delta or Wye 360 V (AC) to 528 V (AC) three-phase input range. The unit can operate under full load with ambient temperature ranging from - 10 ° C to+50 ° C (starting at - 20 ° C). The shell size is 450mm wide (excluding the side frame mounting flange), 113mm high and 533mm deep. The weight of the product is 30 kg.
TPF45000 has DC good, phase drop, over temperature, fault alarm signal, remote on/off and 13 V to 15 V 0.5 a auxiliary output. PMBus and USB communication interfaces allow remote monitoring of input voltage, output voltage, output current, internal temperature, status signals and fans. In addition, the remote switch is programmable to the PMBus.
The power supply has 2kv (AC) primary ground isolation, passed IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1 certification, and has CE marks of low-voltage, EMC and RoHS directives. TPF45000 also complies with EN55032-A (conduction and radiation emissions), SEMI F47-0706 (wire impregnation), and IEC 61000-4 (immunity).
