TDK-Lambda's Class I and II configurable medical and ITE power supplies require low airflow and conform to curve B for electromagnetic interference

     TDK Lambda's XMS500 series AC-DC power supply has a rated output power of 500w and is classified into Class I and Class II (ungrounded) structures. The series conforms to curve B and radiation emission carries a margin of 6 dB and a low leakage current of less than 150 μs. High operating efficiency and mechanical design enable the XMS500 to operate at full load at a airflow speed of only 1m /s, reducing audible noise. Applications include home health, hospital, imaging and clinical diagnostic systems, as well as industrial, test and measurement and communications equipment.

     As a configurable product, engineers can choose from a number of standard options to optimize system performance and cost without paying development fees or minimum purchase quantities. Options include case type (including an internal low speed fan), backup voltage choice, 12 V fixed or variable speed fan supply, remote on/off, AC failure, single or double input fuse. Rated output is available at 12 V, 24 V, 36 V or 48 V with other voltage requirements. The product comes with a five-year warranty.

     The XMS500 accepts inputs from 90 V(AC) to 264 V(AC), withstands 300 V(AC) for 5 seconds, and can operate at ambient temperatures of +70°C, with a linear drop of 2.5% /°C above 50°C. The open-frame version is 102 mm x180 mm x37 mm and the U-slot is 107 mm x180 mm x39.5 mm. Low profile allows installation in systems with limited space.

     All models are certified by IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60601-1 and IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1 CE marking low voltage, EMC and RoHS2 instructions. The range complies with EN 55011-B, EN 55032-B Conduction and Radiative emissions (for Class I and II), EN 61000-3-2 harmonics, IEC 60601-1-2 Version 4 and IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.Input-to-output isolation is 4,000 V(AC) (2 x MoPP), input-to-ground isolation 1,500 V(AC) (1 x MoPP) and output-to-ground isolation 1,500 V(AC) (1 x MoPP) suitable for Class B and BF class equipment.
