TDK Launches Compact SMT Common Mode Choke for Low Voltage DC-DC Converter

     TDK Group introduced a new B8272 series EPCOS SMT common mode choke. The new series of components have three models to choose from, all of which are very compact in structure. They are specially developed for low-voltage applications. The design working voltage is 48 V AC (50/60 Hz) and 80 V DC, the working temperature is 40 ° C, the continuous working current range is 1.8 A to 19 A, and the inductance value range covered is 0.59 mH to 5.6 mH.

     One of the highlights of this new series of EMC components is its compact size, which covers 12.7 x 12.7 mm to 30.99 x 25.4 mm, and its overall height is only 5.46 mm to 12.7 mm, depending on the product type.

     The design of new components meets the requirements of RoHS directive, the fire rating of materials used reaches UL 94 V-0, and has relatively high leakage inductance (up to 1.2% of rated inductance), which can reliably suppress common mode interference. The new components are widely used in various occasions, including DC/DC converters or low-voltage applications.
