TDK Launches New Small Common Mode Filters for Automotive

TDK has introduced the KCZ1210AH series of small common-mode filters for automotive applications. The compact design of the series, measuring 1.25 (L) ×1.0 (W) ×0.5 (H) mm, helps reduce the space it occupies on the substrate and provides noise control function for different transmission signal lines of the vehicle.

This series of products has a compact design with dimensions of 1.25(L) x 1.0(W) x 0.5(H) mm, which helps to reduce the space it occupies on the substrate and provides noise control functions for different transmission signal lines in automobiles .

With the growing popularity of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), the demand for automotive cameras is also growing rapidly. Front-view sensing cameras and cameras of panoramic surveillance video systems use common mode filters as anti-noise products. However, the operating temperature range of traditional multilayer common mode filters is -40°C to +105°C, so they cannot be used in ADAS cameras, but are mainly used in auto parts.

TDK series products utilize proprietary material technology and structural design to achieve a temperature range from -55°C to +125°C. The product has a maximum current rating of 100 and a maximum voltage rating of 5. By using conductive resin-based electrodes, product cracking due to thermal shock can be controlled, and durability against mechanical stress (eg, substrate strain) is improved.
