TDK Launches Performance Enhanced PhaseCap Energy Plus PFC Capacitor

     TDK introduced a new PhaseCap Energy Plus capacitor with significantly enhanced performance. The new component governs two series of EPCOS PFC capacitors: B25,674C series is gas impregnated, with a voltage range of 230 V AC to 690 V AC and a rated compensation power range of 5 kvar to 33.1 kvar, depending on the model; The B25675C series is impregnated with biodegradable resin. The rated voltage is 230 V AC to 1000 V AC, and the rated compensation power is up to 60 kvar.

     The new series of components have many characteristics, such as: 240000 hours of ultra long service life at - 40/D temperature level; Equipped with IP20 safety terminal block with electric shock prevention design; Pre installed ceramic base discharge resistance; As many as 15000 times of opening and closing every year, which is twice as much as the previous model; It can operate at a temperature up to 60 ° C for a short time; Hot spot temperatures up to 85 ° C are allowed.

     PhaseCap Energy Plus capacitor combines durable winding design and ripple cutting technology, can withstand large impact current equivalent to 500 times of rated current, has self-healing function, and has obtained CE and UL certification. The built-in three-phase overvoltage separator can disconnect the main power supply in case of overload. In addition, all capacitors are equipped with IP20 safe terminal blocks designed to prevent electric shock, and are pre installed with ceramic base discharge resistance.
