TDK introduces high precision pressure transmitters with ultra-thin design

     TDK Group has introduced a new high precision AVD series pressure transmitter with ultra-low profile design. The new series of components is ordered under code B58621V* and is available in three models with optional pressure measurement ranges of 0 to 16mbar, 0 to 100 mbar and 0 to 7 bar. Based on micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) technology, these piezoresistive pressure transmitters have a number of features, such as compact size, occupancy area of 31 x 40 mm, insertion height of only 12.9 mm, suitable for narrow space applications; It can measure the low pressure with high precision, and the measurement accuracy can reach ±1.75% FS (full scale) when the pressure range is 100 mbar. Wide range of applications, can be used in air and other non-corrosive gas pressure measurement applications. In addition, they not only measure differential pressure, but are also suitable for overpressure measurement applications in the temperature range of -20°C to +70°C.

     The transmitter features two self-locking pressure ports, can be easily assembled using a 4 mm inner diameter hose, and is equipped with up to 14-bit resolution I2C (internal integrated circuit) digital output interface. I2C can not only be used as a standard digital interface to communicate with controls in industrial applications, but also provide additional temperature signal output. The transmitter is also equipped with two plug connectors for easy implementation of a Daisy chain system that facilitates the assignment of addresses to multiple sensors in the same network. These advantages make the sensor system ideal for demanding industrial applications such as pressure level measurement, flow control and filter monitoring, including pumps and compressors, pneumatic systems, building management systems or Industry 4.0 applications.
