TDK introduces multi-functional disc ultrasonic sensors

     TDK Corporation introduces a new series of ceramic based EPCOS wafer ultrasonic sensors, which include two standard types B59050Z0206A030 and B59070Z0285D12 . The former has a diameter of 5.0 mm, a thickness of 1.02 mm, a series resonance frequency of 2000 kHz, and adopts a thickness oscillation mode (axial), which is suitable for liquid environment. The latter has a diameter of 7.0 mm, a thickness of 0.195 mm, a series resonance frequency of 285 kHz, and a radial oscillation mode, suitable for air environments.

     The new range of sensors is RoHS compatible and suitable for a wide range of applications. For example, in the field of automotive electronics, it can be used for parking assistance or blind spot monitoring systems, fuel or SCR level measurement, and internal monitoring of anti-theft systems. In industrial electronics applications, it can be used to measure fluid and gas flows, fluid levels or bulk material levels. In addition, the disc sensor can also be used to automatically guide the collision avoidance system of the car. In addition to the above standard types, we can also provide customized models according to customer requirements.
